About the role 
Our client is looking for a Reinsurance Technician to join their Ceded Reinsurance Team and play a vital role in managing outwards reinsurance administration. If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in reinsurance contract administration, we want to hear from you!

Key Accountabilities
  • Reinsurance Purchasing Support
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of reinsurance contracts, financials, and key purchasing controls in company systems.
  • Updating schematics, schedules, and other documentation as required.
  • Preparing accurate outward reinsurance technical accounts, including proportional reinsurance, cash losses, profit commissions, and portfolio transfers.
  • Issuing statements and recoveries while ensuring compliance with contract obligations.
  • Regular tracking of aged debt across all accounts.
  • Responding to reinsurer queries in coordination with claims, legal, and underwriting teams.
  • Assisting in the production of reinsurance returns, reports, and analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as Lloyd’s Minimum Standards, GDPR, and Conduct Risk policies.
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Experience in outwards reinsurance administration and practices.
  • A basic understanding of reinsurance contract terminology with the ability to follow conditions stated.
  • A general understanding of producing reinsurance accounts and statements.
  • General reinsurance market experience with an emphasis to reinsurance administration across both, or either, Lloyd's and company markets
  • Excellent numeric skills, with a high standard of accuracy and a desire for accurate data recording.
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as market database recording systems.
  • A self-motived and driven individual.
  • A team player, happy to contribute to obtain the team’s and company’s objectives.
  • Willingness to learn and a questioning approach.
