Title: Underwriting Assistant
Location: London/ Hybrid 
Salary: £30,000 per annum 

About the role 

The Underwriting Operations function is at the heart of supporting our underwriting teams across processes, data, systems and change and works on a mix of BAU, tactical and project timelines.

The Administration Services team support our underwriting teams with day-to-day administration of individual risks in our underwriting platform and associated systems. This is a key function for the business as it underpins the data that drives decisions everywhere else so accuracy, consistency and timeliness are paramount. Further, a smooth and stable Underwriting Operations function supports high quality underwriting and a great service proposition to our brokers and clients as well as underpinning our regulatory compliance and resilient financial performance.

Main areas of responsibility
  • Accurate and timely input and updates of risk, financial, and other information and correspondence into the the business underwriting platform and associated systems.
  • General administrative support for underwriting teams across various processes, including on a project basis.
  • Investigation of credit control queries and liaising with underwriters, brokers and business partners for resolution where appropriate.
  • Liaising with colleagues in the Business service companies to ensure accurate data exchange.
