Who are we?
We are a global collective of talented and passionate people, united by a shared passion and no-limits mindset. With over 18,000 employees across 100+ countries, we work together as an international team to push the boundaries of insurance. We are known for our distinctive culture, which fosters innovation and collaboration. Whatever your priorities – work/life balance, career progression, sustainability, volunteering – you’ll find like-minded individuals driving change and supporting one another within our community.

Who are the Climate Risk and Resilience team?
Our Climate Risk and Resilience (CRR) team works with businesses across various industries and sectors to help them adapt to the challenges of climate change. From protecting assets to meeting net-zero goals and unlocking funding for green projects, the CRR team combines deep industry expertise with cutting-edge analytics to develop bespoke solutions that help businesses build resilience and pave the way for a sustainable future.

What will you be doing?
We have 6 internship opportunities available for Summer 2025 within our CRR teams. Depending on your exact role, you could be involved in:

  • Analysing Climate Data: Collecting and analysing climate data from global and regional sources to identify potential climate risks and opportunities related to policies, market trends, and net-zero pathways for our partners.

  • Building Climate Risk Models: Using tools like Excel and Python to build risk models that assess climate risks, policy impacts, and energy trends, transforming complex data into actionable insights for clients.

  • Developing Client Solutions: Collaborating with the advisory and client solutions teams to design sector-specific solutions, create proposals, pitch decks, and enhance services to meet client or project needs.

  • Managing Client Relationships: Supporting the team in engaging high-potential clients and managing relationships throughout the opportunity lifecycle and post-sales phases.

  • Planning and Organising: Helping the team plan and manage projects to ensure they stay on track and deliver excellent results.

  • Research and Presenting: Assisting Subject Matter Experts by researching climate-related topics and industries, contributing to reports and presentations.

Who are we looking for?

  • A recent graduate or current university student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) pursuing a STEM-related discipline or a relevant humanities subject (e.g., Geography, Natural Hazards, Economics, Sustainability, Climate Studies, etc.)

  • Solid working knowledge of Excel, with additional skills in R, Python, or Matlab being a plus.

  • Proven interest in climate change, sustainability, or renewable energy, demonstrated through prior work experience, projects, or coursework.

  • An interest in the insurance sector and how insurance-based solutions can address climate challenges.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships, engage with senior stakeholders, and translate complex technical insights into clear, accessible language.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What do we offer in return?

  • A career that you define: We value diversity and are looking for individuals who share our values.

  • Our success has been built on individuals brave enough to try something new.

  • We support each other through both the small moments and the big challenges, and are committed to making a positive difference at work and beyond.
