Title: Delegated Authority Data Assistant
Location: London/ Hybrid 
Salary: £Competitive 

Purpose of the Role 
Support the business DA initiatives including both data collection and data quality.
Responsibilities in the supporting of DA strategy will include:
  • Ensuring comprehensive and good quality data is available in the business reporting suite by chasing and validating bordereaux.  
  • Reviewing bordereau data and performing gap analysis to improve data quality.
  • Providing technical assistance on Lloyd’s platforms such as DDM and DCOM
  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders internally and externally including Brokers, Carriers, Coverholders and DCA’s
  • Ensuring contract details are kept up to date in DDM, including the task of entering endorsements. 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Data Ownership 
  • Ensuring that DDM records are kept up to date, including 
  • manual entry of mid-term endorsements. 
  • Ensuring that the business receives in-scope Risk, Premium and Claims bordereaux in a timely manner and verified as sufficiently complete (e.g., adhering to the relevant Coverholder standards). 
  • Quarterly oversight and chasing, where required, of Risk Level Data bordereaux required for the syndicate’s RDS exercise. 
  • Chasing overdue bordereau, both internally and externally. Provide updates to the DA Data Manager for escalation, where required. 
  • Providing technical assistance with mapping, uploading and approving bordereaux on DDM. 
  • Box/Agency Communication 
  • Liaising with Delegated Authority Underwriting teams on DA activities. 
  • Collaborating with all Agency departments involved with administering and monitoring Delegated Authority business, including the Claims and Compliance team. 
  • Attending the DA Data Working Group and Binder Management Forum. 
  • Testing 
  • Providing testing support for future Lloyd’s system releases such as DCOM and DDM. 
Required Competences 

Data Quality 
Analysing and reviewing bordereaux data to ensure the business and Lloyd’s minimum standards are maintained.

Able to input data and maintain records with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Able to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with syndicate, office staff and external stakeholders to help facilitate activities.

Able to ensure competence is attained and maintained. Keen to increase skills through training. 
 
Underwriting Systems 
Able to learn and demonstrate a good understanding of the syndicate’s underwriting systems, reporting tools and associated business processes. 

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Motivation to learn the end-to-end binding authority management 
  • process. 
  • Some knowledge of delegated authority and bordereaux data. 
  • Understanding of the Lloyd’s market and how it operates. 
  • Professional approach to all activities with aptitude to work to deadlines. 
  • Eagerness to suggest new ideas to improve efficiency in current internal processes. 
  • Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel. 
  • Good team-working and communication skills. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Self-motivated.
