About the Role:
The Graduate Trainee Programme is a 24-month training programme designed to provide participants with the business and technical skills needed to build a successful career in Broker Distribution or Client Management. Trainees will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining in-depth knowledge of business units and underwriting philosophy. Through on-the-job learning, workplace mentoring, and directed self-study, the programme serves as a foundation for career advancement and offers an accelerated pathway in the insurance industry.

On-The-Job Learning
Trainees will contribute to delivering best-in-class service to key clients and strategic broking partners.
Collaborate seamlessly with underwriting, claims, and multinational colleagues to enhance service delivery and drive profitable growth.
Support cross-sell initiatives, develop product knowledge, and build strong relationships within the risk management and brokerage community.
Directed Self-Study
The programme includes professional designation courses that provide technical knowledge of insurance operations and industry practices.
Support for continuing education, including coverage of exam fees and textbooks, time off for exams, and additional compensation for successful completion.
Required completion of:
- Certificate CII – LM1, LM2, LM3 exams.
- Diploma CII – Four additional exams selected based on relevance.
Career Development Support
Ongoing professional development training in areas such as communication, negotiation, self-awareness, and sales and marketing.
Structured development opportunities to strengthen skills and expand business understanding.
Mentoring
Each Graduate Trainee will be assigned a mentor from a different department to provide guidance and support.
Regular one-on-one meetings to discuss progression and career development.
Assistance with annual performance reviews and progression assessments through programme levels.
Rotation Scheme
Participants will gain experience across various business lines through two twelve-month placements.
Successful completion of each placement will enable progression within the programme.
Possible rotations include:
- Broker Distribution (12 months)
- Client Management (12 months)
The programme is open to graduates from all disciplines, particularly those with numerate degrees or an interest in insurance, financial services, marketing, or sales.
