About the role
In this role, you'll be the go-to expert, making sure all our group companies, mainly in the UK and Bermuda, are up to speed with tax compliance and reporting. Plus, you'll be supporting the Fairfax group with their jurisdictional tax needs.
You'll be responsible for preparing the annual UK corporation tax returns from start to finish, with support from our Assistant Tax Advisor. Timely CTSA payments on account will be your responsibility, and you'll handle tax disclosures for UK and Bermuda group and subsidiary statutory accounts at both year-end and half-year periods. Additionally, you'll support our senior tax manager with quarterly tax reporting.
You'll assist with syndicate returns and the information we submit to Lloyd's, and you'll review the PSA return prepared by our Finance team. Managing the Assistant Tax Advisor in respect of operational taxes, including certificates of residence, will also be part of your duties.
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with third parties and internal stakeholders will be crucial. You'll work with the Senior Tax Manager and external advisors, as well as other Fairfax groups, to prepare the Fairfax group UK Pillar 2 and Bermuda CIT provisioning and compliance.
As a key member of our Group Tax team, you'll also support other projects and business initiatives as needed.
